Mineral Maniacs - How To Order

General Ordering Info

I want to make ordering from us as simple as can be. To place an order please send me an email with the following information:

Clearly describe what you want (use either specimen name, description, location, price, etc.)
Your name, address, contact info (email, phone, cell phone, etc.)
Your shipping address
Payment method (see below)
Any additional comments or requests

Once I receive your order I will reserve your piece(s) and then respond ASAP with a confirmation and the total.

Items are placed on reserve for ten days pending receipt of payment.

Since specimens are often unique all orders are filled on a first come first served basis.

California residents are required to pay sales tax of 8.25%.

Orders to residents outside of California are not taxable.

Once I receive payment and funds are verified, I will ship your order.

It is our policy to confirm all e-mails within 24 hours, and to notify you by e-mail when checks are received and when a package has been sent.

Shipping & Insurance

How much will shipping charges be?

We ship primarily via the United States Postal Service and all domestic orders are shipped by Priority Mail. It is the cheapest and the fastest, (usually 2-3 days).

Shipping charges may vary per order and are based on weight and destination.

Priority shipping is $3.85 for the first pound and then $3.95 - $5.75 for up to two pounds.

Heavier items will be charged according to United States Postal Service rates.

For international orders I prefer to ship via the United States Postal Service Global Priority Mail. The maximum weight limit is four pounds.

For international orders exceeding four pounds or to countries not serviced we can opt to ship via the United States Postal Service Global Express Mail or through other carriers.

Insurance?

Insurance is optional for orders under $25.
For orders over $25 domestic insurance is $1.10 up to the first $50,
for $50.01 to $100 it is $2.00,
and for $100.01 to $5,000 it is $2.00 plus $1.00 per every $100 of value.

International orders are not always insurable, however I am always willing to look into insurance on a case by case basis.

Returns

I want to take the uncertainty out of shopping on the Internet by providing a risk-free return policy. If you are not satisfied with something you have ordered, for whatever reason, please feel free to return it. Items returned in the same condition and within ten days of receipt will be cheerfully refunded. Simply notify me as soon as possible if you are planning on returning an item and I will refund your money when I receive it back.
